    Western Digital Mybook Pro 500G

    Does anyone know where might stock these inDublin? I can get it from Komplett for €200 but i've never used them and heard mixed reports.

    Any suggestions?

    There good peices of kit, you'll get it cheaper of Komplett to be honest

    Yep, go for komplett, no problems with them, great service.

    If you really don't want to use them you could try Peats of PCWorld.

    I'm afraid I can't help source it in Dublin for that price, but I've spent a *lot* of money with Komplett.ie over the past few years and in the one case where I received a faulty component (CPU, but I believe DHL were responsible) they happily tested and replaced it for me.

    Komplett have a forum here on Boards.ie, under Biz -> Commercial Interaction -> Komplett.

    I ordered that very drive off Komplett myself with no problems. A very nice little unit.

    I should be getting the 1TB drive this week.

    I can recommend Komplett as well. Never had a problem with them, though a mate had an awful job getting them to replace a UPS that got damaged during transit.

    Haven't had any issues myself.

    I assume it's OK to format the drive as HFS+? I understand it comes formatted as FAT32?

    Waiting for the very drive to be delivered from Komplett also. Will format with ext3 for NAS device.

    I've ordered from dabs before and Komplett. Delivery was fairly prompt. Even making a return to dabs was rather painless -- only one no-show from the courier. You might as well order a few items and get value for your postage. Just as well you're not ordering online from PC World. I think they charge around E20-25 for delivery.

    DadaKopf, I'd say formatting with HFS+ will be fine.

    Got one two weeks ago from komplett, formatted it in hfs+ and it is working great.

    Ordered one these from Komplett last year, no problems. Will probably order another one shortly, though I may order from Dabs this time as they have a few other things that I need.

    thanks for the tip guys. went ahead and ordered from Komplett this morning and set tp DHL delivery. want to have it before the weekend. Are their deliveries usually quick? Ive used pixmania before and found their deliveries very prompt
