"Guaranteed Packages"

Just registered for a feeder to a satellite for $1. There were meant to be 2 guaranteed packages according to the description and 1 package for every $11 in the prize pool. Only four people registered and the thing was cancelled less than a minute before it was meant to start.

If it says guaranteed, should the feeder not be played regardless of numbers for the two tickets?

I guess they are guaranteeing the prise providing there are the required amount of minimum players. (usually full table).But it should'nt be cancelled until the last second of the start time.

sometimes they need 6 players to run. with 2 packages, even though 6 players doesn't cover 2 packages

Makes sense to let it run as long as possible so that it might fill

I think that's what he meant.

Was just annoying really, not necessarily a big deal.

notice this on ipoker the other night, it cancelled the game 2 minutes before registeration closed, or something like that. There's usually 1 minute or something, where registration closes before the tourney starts, but these games usually have a minimum number of players required before starting.
