Reeling in the Years

    Desperately looking for any "reeling in the years" on VHS or preferably on DVD

    RTE are not going to make them available commercially

    So im looking to BORROW any you might have recorded!!!

    I can return the favour

    pm me details, would love to hear from someone with the whole series, but i will accept indivudal eposides

    Because it wouldn't be financially viable. RTÉ would need to pay all of those people they get the video clips and music from. It's a pity really.

    its due to copyright etc on the non irish video and songs used. RTE have permission to broadcast but not video, ie they would have to enter into contractual arrangements with lots of different companies and the cost woud be prohibitive. Their alternative would be to substitute the clips and songs with their own but they felt that that would take away from the effectiveness of the show

    Ok,

    with collective brainpower, lets see if we cant compile the whole series on dvd! if all the people looking at this thread contribute one episode then surely nothing is impossible!!

    I recorded an epoisde last friday from windows media player!! I can transfer it onto dvd. What time and dates is it broadcasted on. I just charge for the dvd and postage not much profit in this.

    1983 is being broadcast tonight on RTE1 at 18.30

    pm me details and i can arrange a supply of blank dvds and something to cover postage

    That is the best show on RTE. I think its deadly. Great looking back and seeing what happened.

    Some of it is on youtube.

    The 1990 one with Bonners save/O`Learys penno and the celebrations it shows afterwards, it makes the hair on your neck rise. God to have that happen again in the next few years.......

    just watching and recording 1983 now

    1984 on Wed

    not on thur and friday

    will have to keep checking the rte guide
