Dundalk and Dunboyne Dogs are two voluntary groups that work closely with the Dundalk and Dunboyne Pounds in helping to rehome and release dogs due to be put to sleep.

When a dog is found straying it is captured, and held for 5 days at the pound and then is destroyed. If an animal is surrendered into the pound it can be destroyed within 24 hours.

The volunteers at Dundalk and Dunboyne Dogs work endlessly raising release fees ( 50 euro per dog in Dundalk and 25 euro per dog in Dunboyne) and then arrange a transport for the dog to a place of safety, (which is either a rescue, or a temporary foster home). This requires a huge amount of cooperation and organisation and all of this is done in a voluntary capacity. These groups are dependant upon individuals donations, and receive no government funding.

Dundalk and Dunboyne Dogs offer these dogs a second chance and desperately need money to pay for release fees transports, vet bills and kennel fees. Their work also includes home checks, photographing dogs for rescue boards, contacting lost and found groups and much more.

By buying a ticket for the raffle you stand a chance of winning some fantastic prizes but more importantly every euro raised goes towards saving a dogs life.
