Actually I've a friend of a friend looking for an MMA club in the city centre. Why not post the details here and on the club listing on www.maireland.proboards50.com

Cowzer can you give just a little review of the type of training that happens in Shika? Is it equal parts striking/clinch/ground or more emphasis on striking?

The fighters are mainly strikers but we train more grappling than striking, im a boxing coach so i try to help out with the punching side of the training,
The head trainer comes from a kickboxing style of training and is very good at kicking, his kicking is more muay thai style than kickboxing, and he has a good grappling knowledge, at the moment we have 4 fighters counting myself and we range from 60kg to 70kg so the sparring is good, 1 of the fighters is polish(i think) and is very good at ground fighting-i think he's done greco, sambo and bjj.we have a new tkd all ireland champ coming up so we will take any good stuff he has to offer! all in all its well balanced training, but focuses more on sparring in the different ranges..anyone looking for additional info, just ask..

Hi Leo-The training is at half 7 tuesday-wednesday and thursday and is in the handball center, just outside croke park, where you would enter the hill from-you would park your car against crokers gates-thats how close it is..Im sure MMA trainers would be welcomed up for sessions also.
