    Okay so folks,

i think the scene dealing moment was Matt Serra's hand being raised as the new Welter Weight Champ.

In fairness to him he pretty much just went out and won it, no flukes, no little moments. Just a crunching shot that was the beginning of the end.

He said he's shock the world, and he was right!

For me though fight of the night goes to those 155 pounders Roger Huerta and Leonard Garcia. Unbelieveable pace.

i still cant believe he beat him!!!

as GSP said in his dressing room afterwards, its his worst nightmare come true. congrat to matt serra all the same, he had a lot of times in his career where he lost a fight at the last stage before a title shot. no one gave him a chance against GSP and he proved them all wrong.

Matt hughes nearly made me sick with his cheering after the fight ended. "that was nice", wasnt so nice when GSP handed him a beating!!

wonder will it be a straight title shot now for hughes or will he have to fight GSP for a shot?

cant believe i sat through koscheck and sanchez fight til the end. it was prob the worst fight ive seen, or possibly a close 2nd to the sylvia vs monson fight. koscheck never planned to finish that fight within the time. prime example was doing nothing for the whole of the first round, then 15 secs to go he gets the takedown to score the first round. imo, diego didnt have anything and as much as i dont like koscheck's personality, he wouldve been better off to destroy DS with takedowns and show his skills. fair enough he wanted the win badly but in the bigger picture of getting a shot at the title in the near future, perhaps he should have given the public a reason to want to see him again

-Ps all those UFC 70 PPV ads were fair annoying. there was at least 5 during one stint of ad breaks. plus what they didnt say was whether or not it will be shown on bravo a day or 2 later, or exclusive to setanta-

Matt Hughes is a pain alright, see the season of TUF he coached for confirmation. All credit to Serra, I was shouting for him to win it but didn't think he would pull it off, and when it was all over I was standing up jumping around, wishing I was watching it with someone to join me in my celebration! :)

Lightweights were pretty unbelievable in fairness.

The Koscheck / Sancez fight was pretty boring, but I don't think it deserved all the boos the fans gave it. Koshcheck didn't go for the take down except for at the end of round 1, because he knew he couldn't handle Diego on the ground, and he was right, he shot with about 20 seconds on the clock and Diego still had time to revers him and take his back standing. I think that Josh fought the right game plan for him to get the win, and why shouldn't he? I wouldn't be trying to do fan friendly attacks if it was going to lose me a match, its his job at the end of the day.

Im still in shock but its not too bad since I like Matt Serra and i know GSP will come back and get his belt and be stronger and better than ever. This will probably be a good oportunity for Hughes/GSP III,winner gets the title shot.Garcia and Huerta was a great fight and its great that diego is 19-1 now so he can take his head out of his a*s

My jaw was on the floor after GSP v Serra!

It was kind of like the couture vs sylvia fight....EVERYONE underestimated serra except himself and he came out with nothing to lose but everything to gain and knocked out the striker......
Worst fight of the evening was koscheck vs sanchez but I was glad to see koscheck win..
Fight of the night had to be Garcia vs Huerta. It was great to see these two guys show as much respect as they showed at the end of the fight......

I agree, I'd like to see GSP hand him his ass (again) after that carry on !! GSP doesn't seem to be the most popular of fighters over in the US or am I reading that wrong?

He's canadian, maybe that has something to do with it?

I would have said it's because he's not American, more so than specifically Canadian.

    I really enjoyed this UFC.

I actually enjoyed the sanchez-kosheck fight. I only watched TUF1 2 weeks ago so these two guys were pretty fresh in my mind. It was a good tactical war. Two good wrestlers, one with good hands and one with good submissions. The better wrestler won, not due to better wrestling but due to better tactics. I think kosheck could have done more, to cement the victory and possibly endear himself to the crowd a bit better. But most importantly, he won, and he beat a guy that was unbeaten in 19/20 fights.

I was shocked by GSP's loss. I thought Serra was too small to compete in the physical stakes against a GSP who dominated Matt Hughes. I think GSP made a few mistakes, he seemed to be a bit like David L'oiseau in his recent fights - cautious and reluctant to engage. I wouldn't rule GSP out of coming back bigger and better. Who's next for Matt Serra? If Sanchez would have won I would have expected him to get a title fight. But now?

UFC WW division is one of the most interesting and I think there are tons and tons of potential cracking match-ups.

I can't actually think of any boring division in UFC at the moment, the turn around in 6 months has been unreal!!!

Having missed the last two UFC's I really enjoyed this one. Thank God that cocky, arrogant, overrated twat Sanchez lost. What was up with that entrance music?.
Like everyone else I was completly stunned when Serra won, but hats off to the guy, he beleived in himself and told everyone beforehand he would shock the world.
Also apparently his first defence is going to be Hughes. Seems kinda fair seen as Hughes didn't get an immediate rematch so why should GSP.
Finally Nog is now in the heavyweight division. That can only be a good thing.
    Roll on UFC 70.:D

    My thoughts:

    1) Kendal Grove needs to lay off the Tito-style smack talk and gravedigger routine, he just looked like an idiot.
    2) I don't like Dirty Sanchez or Sheepy Kosheck, but after his weigh-in antics, I'm glad Sanchez is nineteen ...... AND ONE!
    3) Matt Hughes shouting "I love it, I love it" just shows why nobody but rednecks like him. Jesus would disapprove.

Also Nog in the UFC - sweet.

GSP v Serra was an exciting fight, why shouldn't Matt Hughes be cheering along to the camera? You can't judge a person based on ten seconds they spent in front of a camera in a crowd of thousands of people, come on.

It would seem that Matt Hughes will be the first person that Serra defends his title against.

Serra has said he's more than happy to fight Matt, as he doesn't particularly like him as a person. "Either way I win....I get to punch him in the face...."

Yes but you CAN judge him on him being a bell end for the whole ultimate fighter series, then being a bell end after a fight. Actually though, in spite of his jesus freak nature, I quite like Hughes. I like GSP better.
