I'm looking forward to getting a Wii - but out of curiosity can anyone who has one tell me if the Wii Boxing is a good workout? How good is it and have you toned up much with it etc.. etc..?

    Cheers :D

Ehh... If you're thinking of buying a wii mainly for exercise, you may want to re-consider. While it would give you more of a workout than a traditional 'sitting' console, it's not an exercise program, so you would at best be burning off a few extra calories, and exercising the muscles in your arms.

Perhaps at some stage someone will release a game with a view to improving fitness (like the PS2's Kinetic range), but until then, buy a wii because you want to play and enjoy the games. There's just isn't enough dimension to the Wii boxing game to keep you coming back.

If you really get into it and jump around the room a bit for a few hours I'm sure it would have to have benefits. I know I break a sweat myself.

Actually toning up though? Hmm. I'm not sure about that. Probably be better off just lifting some weights on a regular basis.
