Just finished this converting my Kawasaki W650 into a proper cafe racer last week. Spent about €1200 all together and took about 3 days of solid work.

    This is what I changed.

    Silverstone stainless steel pipes (w650shop.de)
    Telefix Profi clip-on handlebars (w650shop.de)
K&N pod air filters (The Italian Center)
Dynojet Stage 3 tuned (The Italian Center)
    Hagon Progressive shocks (Mountjoy MC)
Short tail piece and small rear lamp
    Black custom made indicators (w650shop.de)
    Smaller headlamp bracket (w650shop.de)
    Short mirrors (w650shop.de).
    Stebel Air horn :D (Halfords)

Its now putting an estimated 60 hp (need to dyno it) and pulls all the way throught the power band up to 7500rpm.

Hopefully getting the paint changed to something more sporty within the next few weeks, haven't decided what yet.

    Here's some pic's

Very nice looking machine, good choice moving the ironwork and screen. The bevel cam drive looks interesting, some design feature they took from the earlier duke models http://www.bmwcyclesdaytona.com/preowned_images/DSCN0082.JPG

Just need to paint it red, or race flag check :p

very impressed though, 3 days well spent!

(slightly off topic, does anyone know the newer model triumph that has those style exhausts?)

cool. I don't think I'd change the paint, tbh........half the vet/vintage crowd spent their whole lives trying to get a job as good as your OEM....maybe just take off the chrome badge and put something.....smaller, on instead??

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
