Unfortunately I think its only the Americans that are getting it. It has the same engine which has been getting heaps of praise since it made its debut last year in the 335i Coupé. Now I know that demand for this engine would be low or more likely non existent in Ireland, but why dont BMW offer this engine here in Europe instead of the 540i, which has exactly 306 bhp (the same as the 335i, the US version has less power in both cases anyway). http://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/futurevehicles/new5?source=NEW5FVTOPNAV Considering it would be 70 kg lighter(well they said that using a turbo straight 6 saved 70 kilos off the weight of the 335i compared to using a V8 of similar power) , meaning it would be faster than the 540i, and presumably nicer through the bends for the same reason, and of course a lot more fuel efficient since it weigs less, and is a full 1 litre and 2 cylinders smaller. It would also be torquier too because that engine produces 295 lb ft at only 1300 rpm, compared to the 540is 289 lb ft at 3500 rpm.
