Having completed HOH I and II, i was wondering if someone could reccommend a direction. Is the HOH workbook any use?

also, would a cash game book be of any advantage or halp a sng/tournie player?

I didn't find the workbook great, not as good as the first two

Slansky+Miller's book "No limit holdem - theory and practice" is a good next place to go, geared to cash games but a lot relevant to tournaments too

This arrived on thursday, havent started it yet, but a brief glimpse through seems ok. And it is something from the usual strategy books.

i would strongly recommend not reading another book but instead working your way through the twoplustwo archives.
most forums there will have a thread or faq that collects good threads from the past.
you will learn much more from reading and posting on twoplustwo than you could from reading any poker book.

I hope the mods dont mind me mentioning www.freepokerbookstore.com as it is on topic. The site looks kinda crappy at the moment as I've no design exp or creative flair.

Slight derail: I just bought supersystem 2, is there any point in getting supersystem 1?

If you have one good poker book its enough, just get in a ton of hands for experience.

Well there's no stud hi in SS2 and Chip Reese's chapter on it in SS1 is certainly worth reading if you want to learn the game.
