I am not surprised. To be honest, it is sad but it is normal. It is our "common people with cameras" duty to see the beauty everywhere around us and point it to all people. It is easy to be focused on money, partners and cars. But there is a little more and we can do that, we are not americans!!! :-)

    Very interesting article Fenster!

It's amazing how few people actually acknowledged him!
The poet Billy Collins once laughingly observed that all babies are born with a knowledge of poetry, because the lub-dub of the mother's heart is in iambic meter. Then, Collins said, life slowly starts to choke the poetry out of us. It may be true with music, too.

    ...

But the behavior of one demographic remained absolutely consistent. Every single time a child walked past, he or she tried to stop and watch. And every single time, a parent scooted the kid away.

Sad stuff and worst still it's true.
