Got a loan of a PS3 for a week. I have a Dell W2600 Lcd which is HD ready but doesnt have the connector for the HD cable I got as well with it.. Anyway I hook it up to one of the Composite connectings and I get nothing.Hooked it up to others on the tv even with the scart adapter and still nothing..

My mate before he gave it to me had it setup with his HD tv...I wonder does the PS3 still think its in HD,but it should auto switch....Anyone any solutions...

    Thanks

Hold your finger on the power button for about 5 seconds or until it beeps that will reset the display settings

More then likely still setup for your m8s hdtv, just hold in the power button until you hear 2 beeps from the ps3, that means its been reset back to defaults and then go back through the detect procedure and you should be fine, although bear in mind your monitor does need to be HDCP compliant in order for the PS3 to work over it

I have a W2600, it has 2 component inputs, a vga and a dvi, as well as composite, svideo, 2x scart etc..

For ps3 simply use a component cable - or use a HDMI to DVI cable, however set the resolution to 720p max on your ps3, becasue a 1080i via hdmi-dvi with this TV you will get fecked up banding and AA issues.

I'm on my 4th set replaced by Dell and the problem has been on every single one of them. The negatives of buying an LCD TV when they first came out.
