Of course. All you need is the Xbox 360 VGA cable and your all set for HD gaming.

I picked up one of these in gamestop for 29.99 I think... you don`t need extra speakers once your monitor can play audio. the vga cable that I got has two audio wires as well. although I had to buy a jack in maplins for a couple of euros because my monitor only had one input for audio so the jack connects both audio leads into one connection.

I will need to hook up speakers to it! The monitor I have doesn't have speakers!

How do I go about this?

The 360 has no audio jacks. The official MS VGA cable comes has the two audio leads attached to it (L/R red and white connections). It also comes with a little adaptor that will allow you to plug both leads into it and then it can connect to a line in or headphones jack.

PC speakers will work but you'll need an amp to connect to them.

Xbox connected to monitor via VGA cable. Audio cables from VGA cable connected to amp. PC speakers connected to amp.

I have mine hooked up to my hi-fi. 2.0 sound but works fine.

I've tried connecting my 360 up, but the problem is that the cable is male. My monitor doesn't have an input slot (just a lead that comes out of it that I connect up to my PC), so I don't know where I'm supposed to connect the cable - should I be routing it through my PC, or should I have a female lead?

    Anyone have any ideas????

Get a male-male adapter at maplin or somewhere.
