Camping holiday in Europe

i have a dilemma. I want to go abroad after the leaving cert and go camping, but the question is to what country? and also what mode of transport? i.e. Hiking, Cycling or rent a car/ go on the train. Plan on spending 2-3 weeks on holidays. Any advice or suggestions would be grateful.

Might have trouble renting a car if you're at leaving cert age. Take your bikes to France or Belgium, loads of campsites, good roads and cheap beer If you're taking your own bike, then why not take the ferry from Rosslare to Cherbourg/Roscoff, pretty cheap way to get to west coast of France.
