A little bit of history: Villian is an ok player but overplays his big hands and is a bit too aggressive (stats after 70 hands: 24/19/3.4). I've stacked him already when I turned a set and he couldn't fold his slowplayed AA.

    POKERSTARS GAME #9297509257: HOLD'EM NO LIMIT ($0.50/$1.00) - 2007/04/07 - 10:40:46 (ET)
Table 'Alcathous' 6-max Seat #1 is the button
Seat 1: Villain ($156 in chips)
Seat 2: Hero ($303.80 in chips)
    Seat 3: P3 ($35.10 in chips)
    Seat 4: P4 ($37.65 in chips)
    Seat 5: P5 ($114 in chips)
    Seat 6: P6 ($53.05 in chips)
    Hero: posts small blind $0.50
    P3: posts big blind $1
    *** HOLE CARDS ***
    Dealt to Hero [2h 2s]
    P4: folds
    P5: folds
    P6: folds
    Villain: raises $3 to $4
    Hero: calls $3.50
    P3: folds
    *** FLOP *** [8c 5c 2c]
    Hero: checks
    Villain: bets $6
    Hero: raises $9 to $15
    Villain: raises $27 to $42

    I can't fold here can I?

    Hero: calls $27
    *** TURN *** [8c 5c 2c] [6c]
    Hero: checks
    Villain: bets $72

Can I call this? Bet looks a bit big for someone with a flush! Opinions?
Could I have played this differently?

The plan at the time was to get it all-in on a non-club turn. Stupid turn.

I think i prefer the push on the flop after his RR on that draw heavy board especially if hes the type of player that cant lay down aces, as played couldnt have got a worse card on the turn so its one of the few situations where id have to fold my set on that turn.

The raise from him preflop from the button could be any 2 cards here so he could easily have a straight, a flush or even a higher set. You did say he plays his big hands aggressively yet he cant let go of a big pair, this would be enough for me to push on the flop but not enough for me to continue on the turn after the 4th club and you have little or no folding equity if you push on that turn bet because he has 3/4's of his stack in the pot. If he dosent have a flush here he must know hes only getting called by a better hand when he bets out $72 and commits his stack yet hes still showing strength. Smells like he wants you to call.

All in on the flop probably the wise move unless you can put him on pocket 8's
