    Hey,
Does anyone know the code to set up a Polaroid TV on the Sky Remote?
There seems to be no clear answer available.
This is the one I believe.

Thanks in advance. Hope this is the right forum to ask this.

Hold down Select and Red keys together until the red light on your sky remote blinks twice.

Press TV then press Standby, repeat the sequence of pressing TV then Standby until the TV switches off, then press Select.

Try the following 4 digit manufacturer code "1111"

    1. Switch on the TV
    2. Press the TV button on the Sky Remote
    3. Hold down the select and red buttons for 2-3 seconds until the LED blinks twice
    4. Press the TV button on the Sky Remote again
    5. Enter the 4 digit code for your make of TV i.e. 1111
    6. The LED should blink twice, if not recheck the 4 digit code used and go back to 1
    7. Press the standby button on the Sky Remote (The TV should go to standby)
    8. Press select to store this setting
    9. If the TV does not go into standby press the TV button then the standby button, then TV then standby, keep repeating this until successful. This will scan the codes used for a particular make of TV.

If as you say that method has been tried and it didn't work then its just not going to work, you don't need to know the code, if the sky remote has it pre-programmed it would have worked.

    On your digibox remote control
press "services", "telephone numbers" and "technical help", this gives you a number to contact and ask if there is a code for your television available. Have your make and model number at hand.
Anyone considering buying a new plasma or lcd television would be well advised to factor in the cost of a latest version sky remote as it is not guaranteed that older versions will operate your television , some may, most philips or panasonics seem to still accept older codes many others do not.
In any event only the basic operations will be covered, channel change, volume etc. text might or might not depending on brand. aspect ratio, very unlikely. You will still find that you need original tv remote for many functions. If you have bought a new sky remote then it dosent take that long to go through all the listed codes supplied with the remote, you may find that one of them will work with your tv as is the case where the lidl brand of lcd uses the samsung code.
