Upon registering for your free trial, your credit card will be authorized for approximately three months of service. No charges, however, will be made against the card unless you do not cancel prior to the end of your free trial period or you do not return DVDs before the end of the trial.

The free trial will end at the end of the period of your trial. There is no DVD limit for your trial period. You may choose to become a full member at any time during the free trial period.

We will begin billing your credit card for monthly subscription fees for the MovieStar Service once your trial period has ended. Unless you cancel prior to the end of your free trial and return DVDs before the end of the trial. We will continue to bill your credit card on a monthly basis for the MovieStar Service until you cancel.

You must cancel your account and return DVDs before the end of your free trial period to avoid charges to your credit card. For instructions on how to do this, see the section on 'cancellation' below.

Yes but I received this email off them a few months back
We have made a change to our Terms and Conditions for Trial users and this is why I am writing to you.

Trial users can now only have 1 disk out at a time. This does not affect the Unlimited nature of our packages.

If you become a full member after your trial, the 1 disk at a time limit is removed.

I was on their trial recently.

I got an e-mail from them the other day saying if i resubscribe and send then an e-mail with a code in the subject, they'll give me a free multi-region DVD player - thinking of doing it,

How would one go about using this with a 3v card?

I don't just mean the trial, I mean Moviestar in general.

    Guys here is the catch

I got this email from them
" We note that you currently have only 3 titles in your Rental Queue. To get the most from our service, please add more titles to your selection. You can have up to 100 movies in your Rental Queue. Please keep at least 10 movies in your Rental Queue, and preferably between 20 to 50 titles. The larger your selection, the better our service to you will be as we can make sure in advance that we have adequate copies of our titles.

Please note that titles not yet released do not count as part of your active Rental Queue as we cannot send these titles to you at this time."

They want me to que loads of movies so they keep sending me movies even after my trial has finished :D They dont know I have studied marketing and will not be pursuaded so easily :)

Be careful guys dont build your que too long as they will keep sending you stuff if you want to cancel be precise and dont keep the que long

    I hope it makes sense

I got the same e-mail but I'm sure they will have some T&C's attached
so you can't rejoin for a month, get the DVD player and then cancel.

Note for anybody thinking of cancelling.
Remove all films from your wish list just before you cancel so they can't send you some out and say until they are returned you can't cancel your subscription.

Just enter the name into the search facility here on boards and read some of the previous posts.

You'll find out all you want and more.

that's not how it works. once you cancel it's cancelled, no matter what size your queue is. the reason the queue needs to be so long is because you won't always get your first choices - they might already be rented to someone else - so they send you whatever's next in line, and so on...
