    So, Napster is launched on (3G phones) O2 Active. Any thoughts on it? They let you put in your email address and get a copy to your PC aswell! Seems pretty good so far, but I hate the way the menu icons take so long to load.

    Have tried it on my K800i, shame it's a bit slow though :(

    Napster has been available since late last year I believe and free until end of May. Havent tried it so I dont know how it's like , but it sucks that theres no preview of tracks.

    @flodis79
    I'm talking about it on O2 Active and NOT on iMode! There seems to be previews of some of the tracks on this.

    Have used it & it seems OK. I saw 30 sec previews, didn't select a preview though. I'm also using a k800i. I also liked the idea that you can also dowload it to a PC as well.
    Not sure I would use this service often, maybe if the handset came with more memory. I know you can get memory cards, but to be honest I've forked out enough for the handset. I can't see my phone replacing my iPod just yet.

    64MB memory on your K800i inbuilt. . Napster songs are only 1MB each. That's up to 64 songs! But no, you can't match your Ipod for storage capacity but who uses all those songs anyway? :)

    I know there is 64Mb but with a 3.5 Mega Pixel Camera the images take up a bit of space too. If you have a few pictures, games & songs on your phones then it doesn't take too long before you run out of space!!! I have a large collection of sings, over 4500, true, I don't want to play all of these at the one time but I liek to have a variety on my iPod, ones to listen to on the train, a differnet mix for walking, different again for driving in the car. 64Mb is not that much space, if it was 1Gb-2Gb internal then that would be a different story, it would come down to better storage management. The stand-alone handset is not really equipped for the type of use already available elsewhere (iPod), that's my point.
    The sooner networks realise that voice & text is eventually going to be free the better, then we will see who can come up with the best services, the ones people want, the ones that work etc. I do think this one will be good, it has to be backed up with the handsets to match etc.

    Ive tried it on o2 active, but when I click buy (for free). I always get a message saying "Sorry, an application error has occurred". I think it may be my handset though. its a se z610 but it doesnt have the approved sw version on it from o2.

    Sorry for a stupid question but if you dont have an o2 branded phone, how did you come into o2 active in the first place on this phone?

    He popped his O2 SIM into the phone and put O2 GPRS settings on it I'd imagine, unless I'm missing something?

    So how are you accessing it without having the branding? How do you browse to o2 active?

    Had the same problem myself.
    You must open the Activation Code text, which you receive just as the download starts, (minimise the wap session, open the text, allow activation code to install, them maximise wap window and hey presto! track can be saved to phone at end of download). Pity they don't explain that to you in any of the instructions, (maybe it's just my phone). Not very user friendly!!

    Not too bad though, seem to be unlimited free downloads, as far as I've experienced so far anyway!!

    Address directly to Napster on O2 is:

    http://wap.napster.o2.ie/content/wap2/dyn/home

    Save as a bookmark and you don't have to keep going into 'Active', (save a few cents on browsing through a few less pages:))
