Given that it's a LHD, probably not I'm afraid.

EDIT : My bad, someone else has pointed out it is.

Were there several Morris/Austin 1800 marques? The car sirwei has posted has horizontal rear light clusters but the ones posted in the links have vertical rear lights.

    Yes. It's a MK 1 Austin 1800 a.k.a "Landcrab"

Mk 1 Austin 1800s have horizontal rear light units. Given that it is on Polish plates and LHD it might be an:

Austin Balanza (sold in the Netherlands and Belgium)
Austin Windsor / Morris Monaco (sold in Denmark)

    Cheers,
    Rich

(I used to own a Mk3 Austin 1800 with optional PAS. Lovely BIG car)

thats interesteing...it says production started 1966 and yet my neighbour when i was little had one reg CJB 3 B which would make it 1964...was this a prototype do you think? (heap of manure it was too....)

    Hi Corktina
CJB 3 B is very definitely a 1964 GB plate. But the numeral is low enough to make it valuable, cherished or whatever you want to call it. It has always been possible to transfer a registration in GB. Nowadays a huge trade in "Personalised" plates. Colm Joseph Byrne would be delighted to have it.

Corktina, It wouldn't have been a prototype as the Austin 1800 was launched in 1964. The Morris 1800 came along in 1966. The previous launch, the Morris 1100 was in 1962, with the Austin arriving in 1964. Having two competing dealer networks was a bit of nightmare for BMC in 1960s.

For all things BMC/BLMC/BL, there isn't much (if anything) that Keith has missed out on at

    www.austin-rover.co.uk

Even if you hate the cars, the site has a great depth of material and layout!

    Cheers,
    Rich
