    Hi All,
I have a small home network. I have 3 desktops and 2 laptops. The 2 laptops are running Windows 2000 SP4 so is one of the desktops. The other desktop is running XP Pro. The last machine is a DVR running Windows 2000 SP4. I stuck it on the network today and can go on the internet and access network resources such as shared folders, printers and drives and, when I go to network places I can see all the other computers on the network. Problem is the other computers wont see the DVR. It will not come up on the MSHOME workgroup.
I went to services and tried to start the SERVER service but got an error message saying "Could not start service on local computer. The service did not return an error. This could be an internal Windows error or an internal service arror." I have run the Network ID wizerd and joined the MSHOME workgroup which is what all the other computers are members of.
What I need is to be able to see the DVR on the Network. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
    Thanks.
