Models wanted

    Hello everyone,

I am a female photography student and I am currently looking for models. I am working on a project about 'the inevitability of ageing' and I am looking to take fully naked studio portraits of mature (55+) women. the photos will be straightforward, just standing straight looking into the camera.

unsurprisingly I am finding it very hard to find people who are comfortable enough to do pose for me. I was hoping to find people on this forum who might be able to help me out. so, if you are a mature lady yourself or know someone who might be interested please contact me!

the studio is in the centre of dublin and I am very flexible when it comes to times etc. Unfortunately I can't afford to pay the models but they will receive a few nice prints of the photoshoot (I could do some more general portraits as well if they wanted).

thank you very much for your help

    Bo

Ooh thats going to be very tough. I empathise, we have enough trouble getting beautiful young models to do fully clothed fashion shoots for our projects. Have you had any success?

Tough call, might have more luck taking face only pictures and use this to illustrate the project. I dont mean to tell you what to do, just the practicalities of the proposition. Best of luck with it.

For once I'm too young :) Good luck with it - it sounds like a very interesting project. Will you be exhibiting publicly? I'd be very interested in seeing.

There's a beautiful big poster of a mature woman on a billboard just down from where I am at the moment - part of that Dove campaign. The woman looks fabulous. I wonder was it shopped the way every other model shot is. Would be a real pity if it was...

There's loads of old brozzers around Dublin, ask one of them, although their pimps may not be impressed.

    Classic Roen.

That's why I'm spending three hours in a car with you tomorrow...

    55+ nice women? Well...
I must say that it will not be easy. The best is to contact organisations, associations or clubs where are those women. They could help you. Or just start aksing on the street. But I recommend you to hire a TV crew for "hidden camera" show :-)
But to be honest, try to contact those groups or magazines for women of that age. Even some advert could help you.

Weight Watchers meetings might be a place to start. Sounds horrible I know, but you might get lucky.
