    Hi guys,

Just a quick question - I trying out some different defragging progs. after moving over to Vista - I was using Diskeeper.

I've tried PerfectDisk & OOdefrag - one thing I've noticed all software will scan my internal hd with no problem - but both PerfectDisk & OOdefrag will result with a BSOD when scanning any of my 3 external hd - 2 toshibas & 1 maxtor. I haven't got the error to hand, but it's IRQL_NOT_LESS (or something like that).

    Any ideas?

Ive never had to defrag a external to be honest. Why would you want to ?

Same reason you would want to defrag an internal drive I would have thought?

Strange that O&O gives trouble. I use version 8.5 and it defrags any removable drives no prob.

Vista might be the problem; a lot of drivers have to catch up.

    Check for usb updates

Why don’t you start a new thread and ask the Question, don’t hijack this thread

    Hi Guys,

I've done a little research - it appears that maybe Netlimiter might have been causing the problem - so I closed it & killed the processes - but it's still happening...

    Any more suggestions??

    Thanks in advance
