Mercedes W116 in a scrapyard...

I was in the Red Cow scrapyard (just off the M50) today getting some parts for my own car, and I spotted a Mercedes W116 lying among the scrap. I didn't know which model it was as the badges were removed, and I couldn't get the bonnet opened (I couldn't find the bonnet lever! :o ). It was gold in colour with a golden coloured cloth interior. It was in fairly rough condition but it looked restorable. It was on UK plates as well.

Anyone who is interested in saving this classic from the crusher should pay the place a visit. I would myself, but the lack of money and space is always the problem.
