I bought my last one from www.frys.com
it was about a yr ago and came in at about €90, very good at the time, would have been cheaper but DHL caught me for customs(€20). But i lost this one and want/need a new one, preferably 4gb sandisk. Frys.com have them for $79, thats only about €60. Any1 reccomend a site another site that didnt catch them for customs??? or a way to not get caught for customs!!!!:D

I assume the OP is talking about memory sticks as in the rivals to SD cards , not the USB kind.

Hey Im actually looking for a good site aswell for memory sticks pro duos, although Im looking for the 8 GB variety. Anyway, this is the best I have found for the 4 GB card, its only a little cheaper then what you have found, and you wrill probably still get stung for importing it.

I think ebay might be your cheapest way, but watch out for the fake cards. Ive never had any trouble with them though!

You probably won't find much cheaper than 7dayshop.com. Play.com won't ship electronics to Ireland (dvds and some other items, yes).

ebay is defo the cheapest but id hate to get a fake.......
i could pick up a fake on ebay for €40...
what type u buy off ebay?

7dayshop is about $140 and frys.com is only 80........so after i get hit with customs it will still be cheaper........i dunno i might just take a gamble on ebay.

Yea I recommend taking the gamble with ebay. After all, even if you get a fake, they are not that bad. Just a bit slower transfering over which wouldnt bother me that much!!! Its still pretty fast! And you get more memory on some of them ;)

I got a 2gb off ebay for €20, most of the ones on ebay are real... Memory cards seem to be the thing that you can get off ebay thats much, much, MUCH more cheap there than in shops!!

As I said already I am fairly shure that the guy is looking for memory sticks as in memory stick pro and pro duo not the USB type of memory sticks. Most likely for his PSP or PS3( which I am assuming can also use MSP/D )

^^^ lol play.com have them for €150 delivered, although I am getting conflicting reports about whether or not they deliver to Ireland.

No I dont want it for a PSP, I dont have one. I want it for my SE phone to put music on. and I need as much capacity as possible , but I dont really want to be switch around memory cards, cause i will most likely loose them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 215 ✭✭abcxyz123

ohhh for your SE phone.....i have a k750i and it can only support up to 2gb. i dont think SE phones can support above that?? unless you have super new up to date phone??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,969 ✭✭✭christophicus

I too have a k750i, It should support teh 8 GB card . The Official max size is 2GB ,thats because thats FAT16, But poeple have been using 4GB , which use FAT32, and since the 8Gb cards are FAT32 aswell then 8GB should work on that phone. :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 215 ✭✭abcxyz123

are you sure????i tried putting a 4gb sandisk FAT32 in my k750i and it just stalled..........id luv if u were right tho, 4gb sounds good......:D :D:D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 215 ✭✭abcxyz123

heres an interesting one...........they seem to think sony MS are better for the phones even tho sandisk are supplied with SE phones.

    http://www.expansys.com/ft.aspx?i=129336&thread=489

i might try 2 MS...... 1 4gb for psp and 1 4gb for my phone.

Yeah I'm fairly shure I'm right although yes on startup it is supposed to take alot longer to load ,maybe thats why you thought it stalled. You may just need to give it time, can you try it again and let me know if it works for you ???

    Cheers

    chris.

Try picstop.co.uk it'll cost you about €90-€100 including shipping. You'll actuall get a sony one for £52.90 plus about £6 shipping, convert that to Euro should be about €90.

    Here's the link http://www.picstop.co.uk/Memory-Stick-Duo,-Pro-Duo
