Backing Up Messages From A Nokia 3200

    Hey Folks,

I have a Nokia 3200 that I haven't used for the last two years and I want to give it to someone, but there are some messages on it that I want to keep. In the phone menu itself I don't see an option to back them up to the sim.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get these messages off of the phone and onto a sim card?

    I'd appreciate any advice.

the only ways would be to use a data cable or infra red adapter and upload them to a computer. then you could download them to another nokia phone. most laptops have IR adapters. it takes a CA-42 cable

Hmnn the 3200 has infrared, but there doesn't seem to be any way of 'moving' the messages? Even clicking on a message and looking at the individual options I can't see anything. The only Move options are to the archive and templates.

    Any idea's?

You will need to use Nokia PC Suite. Infrared is only the connection method.
