Pub/Nightclub Age Policy

    Are pubs still allowed to inforce age policies on their doors (ie over 23s only). I heard this had gone out and then come back in. Or does this come into the area of providing services to customers without discriminating on the basis of age.

    Once there is a notice on the door its fine.

    Once the club have a sign on clear display at the entrance to the club, then they can enforce whatever age policy they wish.

    It would seem that clubs in general (such as golf clubs, gyms) can even exclude people on gender grounds.

    In any case, most bouncers have realised that the best way to refuse you is to give no reason, just to say "no, please step out of the way".
