Is the Fitz the easiest game in Dublin?

    Hey,

I'm a semi-regular in the Fitz, and sometimes can't believe the standard there.

Straight off the bat, I'd like to say that I don't rate myself any more than "average", so this is not to say I'm great, and everyone else is sh1t.

But the amount of calling a turn bet to try and make the flush on the river, calling pf raises with atc and oop, it's hilarious. What really makes it laughable is the "nh" remarks after someone takes down a pot with pure luck and sh1t play.

The Fitz is a great card room, and I enjoy going there. This thread isn't to raise any complaints as we all want to play against the worst players possible.

Which brings me onto my main point; are there any softer games in Dublin? I haven't been to the Jackpot or Colossus and am too young for the SE. Silks?

I'm turning a reasonable proft most nights I go there, but nothing amazing. So if there's a different place in Dub where I could make more money, I'd like join!

    Cheers,
    ish.

PS. Anyone know the black woman who is in there every night? Definition of addict.

It is really hard to make your flush on the river if you dont call the turn bet

Personally I think SE is softer punters
    and noticablay softer chairs

that you're making money in that game proves it's the softest in Dublin.
    Psych!

Sorry about going a bit off topic, but since these games are apparently so juicy, could someone tell me the lowest buy in cash game available at either the Fitz, Merrion, SE or any other card room in Dublin for that matter?

I play most of my live poker in the Fitz becuase usually I go there after boozing with people who can't play anywhere else. I think the sporting emporium is considerably softer though, unfortunatley I haven't seen much Omaha spread there the odd time I was in. I much prefer to play Omaha when playing live as it keeps the Fold 'Em boredom away.

In the jackpot on a monday there's a 1/1 game, it ends at 3 and usually starts around mid nightish. Minimum buy in is 30 euro. But personally I think buying into a cash game with anything less than 100 times the big blind is sheer madness.

Yeah, I probably should have said the smallest blinds available. Definitely wouldn't be buying into a 1/1 game for 30.

Yeah live Hold'em cash games have started boring the balls off me recently.

Round of each isn't too bad for a variety, but strictly Omaha is the dogs balls, you never run card dry! :D

I have to take exception to that. Its very easy to go card dead in omaha if you use any sort of hand selection. Buts its still more fun than live holdem cash

sparky doesnt practice any sort of hand selection in hold em, so god knows what he is like in omaha!

I don't think Ive ever beaten 1-2 PL, only ever played it in Ireland.

Incidently, why is it PL? I don't understand why?

Anyhow, I can never beat it, a mix of recurring semi-card-deadness and the fact that 8 people take every flop, if you aren't flopping huge, you're ****ed 95% of the time.

I do, lol, its the pl, can't narrow the field preflop, and can't hit a barn door, only place I struggle with live cash games is Ireland, as its PL.
