Ipod just stopped ..but still on

    Sittin here now, literally 2 mins ago was listening to my Ipod through a set of speakers

    Pressed "next" to go the the next song....and its just froze :eek:

    Its stuck on the song.......i can see the play symbol....but the progression bar isnt going up :(

    None of the buttons on the iPod itself are workin now, i cant even turn it off

    Ive connected it to the PC but it fails to recognise it.

    Cant be the battery cause its still on and i can see the screen here beside me...so im guessing harddrive :(

    I wasnt even doing anything though..it was just sittin there on my desk and just stopped:mad: :mad:

    Its about 1 1/2 months only, but i dont have my reciept for it.
    A friend got it for me..but it came brand new like
    Do yous know anywhere that could fix it and what price im lookin at here ?:confused:

    All help appreciated :o

    Mine had done that 3-4 times - I just left it for a few hours and when I came back, it worked. Don't think it's anything to get too worried about, I've heard about it happening to other people too and always worked out okay.

    Have just got home...feckin 78a takes forever :p
    Anyways..ipod is still like that :(

    Gonna sound stupid here...but menu + select = Middle and up button :o ...i hope
    Ill try it:)

    Failing that...i will let the battery run out(not that i have a choice) adn then try turn it on:p

    Just went down to check on it....and :( ....the apple symbol is on the monitor part....and the bottom half is black and the top half faded :eek:

    I tried to reset it like you said...and it flicked to show the apple symbol with an ALL black background...but then the top half gradually fades into nothing leaving a distorted black bottom half with the indent of an apple symbol :eek: :confused:

    Just connected it to the pc and am gettin "Please wait very low battery" message....so i dont know if the above is the way it normally goes
