I want to create a pie chart I am familiar with creating pie chart for numeric values but I want to create a pie chart for 3 states but the cells im sourcing from, are
    1.on
    2. off
    3. standby

So I have 10 entries that each have 1 of the 3 above associated with them
Should I maybe have a cell totalling them?
But how do I go about representing this on a pie chart
    apprecaite yer help
    Thank ed

You could put in a hidden column with numerical values representing them and base the chart on that.

Or use a Vertical Look Up function, but that is a bit more complicated.

Just put the data into an ordinary column, then highligt the column by right clicking on its header A, B, etc from the popup menu select column width and set it to zero
