Ruling Question

    Hi,
Just a ruling question that has been on my mind since the Sporting Emporium Satellite game on Tuesday.

Im playing fairly tight, not doing a hell of a lot really, anyway I get AK in late position and at blinds 50, 100 I make it 800 to go button calls, sb bb fold and limper calls (this guy has been limping into practically every pot and taking an age to fold or act). Flop comes down 3 3 6 rainbow, limper checks I go all in for 1.5k button folds and limper calls, and turns over A3offsuit for a set. I tap the table, go nice hand while inside im screaming.

Dealer takes the limpers two cards, into the muck, still face up. I say to the dealer that he would want to be careful in future because i think the other players cards could technically be mucked. Don't get me wrong, I didn't ask for a ruling or anything. The dealer just laughed at me and said that my comment was stupid because the other players cards were still face up so it does not matter that they were in with the mucked cards.

Fair enough, was he right?? comments

Thats bollox for starters......shoot the fecker.

Dont know exact ruling but I'd let it run as it was an obv situation and only the biggest bollox would penalise the fuktard caller for the dealers fuktardidness.

Whether he was right or not I wouldn't tolerate rudeness like this. Call the TD straight away and ask for a ruling, or talk to the TD at the break and say you don't appreciate being called stupid by the dealer in front of a table of players.

I thought this before as well and asked for a ruling at the GJP out of curiousity (after the pot had been awarded so no chance of it affecting anything). A player threw their cards face up into the muck while claiming the pot and I told him after the hand to be careful as the may be declared dead. Luke was called over and he said that as long as they were face up and 100% obviously that players cards the are not dead in this situation.

He was a new dealer, well new to me, and has one of those faces where he looks like he is smirking all the time, but things like that don't get to me anymore, playing poker too long:o :o
I was afraid if I got the TD then it would have been blown outta all proportion, Just wondering what the ruling is, was he right.

I was under the impression (still am), that once a hand is still in play (technically you still had outs, if 2 As or 2 Ks hit you would have been still in) and if cards were thrown in the muck, that that hand was dead.

I think what the dealer was trying to say was, even if the cards were mucked, everyone knew what his cards were so they could be retrieved, "technically" he was wrong

It still sounds rude from the dealer and even if he is right he still shouldn't put them in th emuck like that without dealing the turn and river first. Sounds like that small little Frenchman (David is it?). The look of him always slightly annoys me. Then again I doubt he would put the cards into the muck like that as he is still a decent dealer no matter what I think of him. They should really get him a higher chair to be honest.

Phantomlord I know, he was an ATC (Any two cards) kinda guy,
5Starpool, it wasn't the french guy at all, it was an english guy, who I haven't seen there before. I could have come across a bit snotty in fairness aswell, I was more annoyed with the flop and the other guys 2 cards, that is all.

Anyway, ive got my va va voom back for cards, rearing to go, so lets hope I dodge the A3 off suit merchants and the K4 guys aswell for the weekend.
