Monitor Vs. T.V. for 360

Whats better- A HD TV over component or a monitor over VGA. Monitors are cheaper but are they better?

My 26'' HDTV 720p/1080i is by far better than my LCD moniter quality wise.

My LCD is only a 19'' though. Some higher end LCDs may be compareable to a HDTV in quality but if your going to spend that much on an LCD, I'd just get a HDTV.

My HDTV has a VGA connection on it and the qualiy through component is better.

But Monitors are cheaper and that is why I am cnsidering a Monitor but will it be good quality. Also if I get the Monitor will I have problems playing HD DVDs from the Xbox 360 HD DVD player

I don't know what your willing to spend, but I think this is a decent moniter for a 360, you may want something bit bigger.

It will do 720p.

I cant see any issue with HD DVDs.

Works out at about 290 delivered from germany but u have to pay by bank transfer

Tbh your better off getting a 32 inch! you wont touch the 19inch again after using a bigger lcd (and no real point in getting a hd dvd player for a 19inch)

I'd understand if it was 700 here because of the different tax rates, but 160 euros! from the same store that is probably shipping them from the same store.

TV's are far less hassel than monitors TBH, plus ya can watch TV on them......;)

If you are getting a monitor, remember that you will have to get one with speakers or use a different sound source. In my experiance monitor speakers tend to be crap.
