KDE question -- configuring 2nd panel

Hopefully this is an easy question to answer :

Just made a fresh install of Kubuntu / KDE 3.5.5. I've added a second panel, which I'm using as a taskbar at the top of the screen.

Now, when I right-click on either my new panel, or the normal panel, and hit 'Configure Panel', I'm only get options to configure the normal one at the bottom of the screen. I don't see any way to make my new panel smaller, or auto-hide, or anything.

I know this is possible as I've done it in previous installs. To the best of my knowledge there should be a drop-down box in the 'Configure Panel' dialog to choose which panel to edit.

    Any ideas?
