Hey Ireland, Iwas over last year visiting (from Canada) and I watched an Amateur MMA event in Dublin. It reminded me of about 15 years ago back home when we were starting out except for our grappling and striking was better. Looks like you guys are just watching Youtube to learn your skills. And reading the posts, you all talk great fights but in reality Ireland is way behind and there are no experts or professional fighters. Professional means to earn a living from. As for the bickering on the forum, sad. Thought I would find clubs encouraging each other. Just my thoughts. Take it or leave it cause I really don't care either way.

why thank you - you have given me new direction in my life - and thanks for you insight by having read a few post on a forum and watching an amature event - really great insight into martial arts in an entire country- and yes, ireland and its 4million people will not match up in its professional achievements with canada and its 30 million plus population (near 32 millioni believe which would equate with 8 canadians per 1 irish person)- but its funny how an 'canadian' has a username like philly07

15 years ago = 1992. MMA was unheard of in the US or Canada in 1992. We'll see who's striking is better when Bernard Dunne take's Steve Molitor's belt.

I thought that's where everybody learned? What, you mean there are gyms we could train at?

Thanks for that, I'm still just grasping English. You're a man of many talents.

We've all embraced your suggestions and will now model the forum around your frame of mind. Thanks for the clarity.
