Does Flash have a left-to-right fade in feature?

Like the alpha property, but I want to fade in from e.g. left to right. I'm not too well up on Flash, but I can carry out the basics in animation, but I can't find something like this in it.

If you right-click on the movie clip and select timeline effects>>transform/transition>>transition and the select what you need. Hope this helps.

This is a case of shape tweening as from left to right

Set the opacity of the last keyframe lighter from the first ...etc

Flash will gradually gradient down from the first keyframe to the last
