Acer Aspire 1520 no display

Acer apire 1520 laptop. No display. Tried external monitor that I know works but nothing. The processor & hard drive appear to be running o.k as the indicator lights flash as normal. Could this be VGA card do you think? If so has anyone any idea how to fix/replace it. Many thanks for any help that you might be able to…
