no he is right, if you take into account the €140 off it comes around €600 including vat

What's Media Centre like for people who are looking for Word, Excel, E-mail, internet, etc? Is it compatible with other office-type applications (accounting, CAD, etc)?

Media Centre is really an application rather than an OS. You still have XP underneath when you shut down the Media Center app. Shouldn't be any issues with any other XP sofftware (famous last words)
