Coole Park, Co. Galway, where Yeats wrote so many poems. (You should probably dim the lights :) )

Me thinks it's your monitor that needs brightening ;)

Interesting shot. It doesn't really grab me for some reason though. I'd like to see it big, that would make a difference I think.

i've a rule of thumb - anything which looks sensible on this screen (am in work) is far too dark in reality.

Sorry, the title is a bit strangely misleadin.

It's a photo I took last weekend at Coole Park, home of Lady Gregory, friend of WB Yeats, where he wrote many poems includin 'Wild Swans at Coole'.

I saw the two trees, and felt I wanted to turn them into some weird symbolic portal to somewhere. The afterlife? The forest? An ancient ringfort?

The exposure was terrible, so I had to rescue it.

I suppose it would look better bigger. I'll upload one later. Actually, I'm quite happy with it, though I think it needs more work.

I like it. It reminds me of that photo that was sold at auction last year for $3 million or something. It was one of the earliest surviving photos or something. Anyway, it reminds me of that.
