The madness has to stop! I just heard that among all the thousands of remakes in the works, someone has set their eyes on Escape From New York. WTF? I can slightly understand remaking some films, but this is taking the piss.

So far, Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) is set to write it, Neal H. Moritz (look him up on imdb and cry :( ) will produce and Gerard Butler is in negotiations to play Snake and my butcher will be providing me with the knives to cut out my eyes.

Seriously, what do they think they'll achieve!!! (ok obviously it's money, but dammit, that' not good enough for me!). Why can't thye remake crap films I won't want to watch? And they wonder why piracy is rampent? Put a little effort into a film and maybe people will actually want to go and see it! [/rant]

I heard serious rumours of a Seven Samurai and Wild Bunch remakes. If they are true, I wish a jihad on Hollywood!

I wouldn't mind a seven smaurai remake tbh, I also read a rumour that the Mortal Kombat films are being remade and considering the advances in CGI since the originals(namely the creation of CGI) it might be worth a look for nostalgia purposes.

That was my justification for going to see the remake of King Kong :( Bring back Stop-Motion Animation, I say!
