    Hi all,

Any comments of these 2 GPS units:

http://www.garmin.com/products/geko201/ (in aldi on thursday for 130euro)

http://www.garmin.com/products/etrex/ (in viking marine for 125euro)

Use will be at sea for recording the locations of inflatable marks for racing, fixed points such as moorings, entrances to harbours and general direction compass points

    TIA

Well, the eTrex will last almost twice as long on a set of batteries, however, the Geko is smaller and lighter, but also has a smaller screen. Otherwise, pretty similar. The Geko is marginally newer/better.
