Thought I'd throw my hat in the ring, put my head on the block, put my money where my mouth is, or any other cliché you care to mention.

Took a spin out to Carrickfergus on Sunday, nice looking town (just leave any political sensibilities you might have behind while you're there).


















I suppose that's the pick of the bunch, or at least what I've processed so far. Make of them what you will, enjoy.

Nice shots! I like the composition of the first one - I could almost step in and walk along the pier to the castle. I really like the third one too, lots of character. Good stuff!

Love the first and last, the one of the statue might have been better if you could see the face better?

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I'm least happy with the one of the statue myself, I wanted the castle in the background (rather than the mister whippy which I would've got with a more straight on view), it was quite bright and his face was in shadow so I tried to make the best of a bad situation. Really I just wanted a picture of Billy to annoy the relatives :rolleyes:

I don't think the statue/castle works from that angle at all either in the second shot. They are kinda lost in each other. I like the other three. But the second one... I dunno. Probably just me (read: it isn't me )

Yeah, I tend to agree ... ah well a 75% success rate isn't too bad!
