    Hi guys,

Just wondering what piece of equipment is used for the following...

I can't find the u-tube link I saw this on, but basically, the guy played a few chords, was then able to loop that, then play some solos on top of it, then looped something else on top of the first piece etc..He also looped a 'beat' by palming the strings of the guitar and looping the strums..

Hope the description describes what I'm talking about.

Is this done on something like the XTLive (I just read about that in a previous post).

    Thanks!

    D.

Have a look at the RC20 by boss or boomerang phrase sampler.

I dunno about interfacing with a PC, but for what reason would you want it to?

    thanks...

I want to interface, so I can record on the pc...

Would it have to go through a separate audio interface like the Alesis IO2?

The Akai HeadRush E2 is capable of doing what you want in regards to looping.

If you want to record on a PC you need to have a sound card with an input and some software like Cubase, CakeWalk etc. If you have this you don't really need a Loop pedal. Just record the loop, playback and record another track on top of it.
