Nice price, competes well with videogamesplus.ca when you add in delivery.

I guess play are finding they have to compete with much cheaper importers now on region free games.

Will people get raped by customs if they order though?

That depends, rumor has it that some retailers ship as 20 EUR, which is VAT/DUTY free on commercial sales (40-50 EUR on gifts). If the waybill is filled out that way then its on customs to detect it and say 'um no' which generally they wont do because they would have to price every single package and they cant possible know what was really paid.

afaik its not illegal for you to receive it that way, since you didnt request not fill out the waybill, and the shipper cant really get into trouble since they didnt attest under penalties of perjury or file a false document with a government (certainly not one that has jurisdiction over them when they filled it out). If it is illegal, logic would dictate that its on the shipper not the receiver, but laws arent always logical.

Course if everyone were to say exactly which shippers do this and which dont, then it would be easier for customs to just blacklist every package from the companies that are known to underprice items for VAT purposes.

My opinion is that its too high as it is, 21% VAT 3% duty, it makes people want to evade it, if it were say combined 6-10% more people wouldnt care. This would also lower the cost of goods domestically, which is likely to cause more people to buy more things, the economy grows as a result, jobs are created, demand for workers goes up - which means wages do as well, and the government would see more revenue due to more goods being bought. But no one listens to me :(

For one game highly unlikely, even at two you'll probably be okay.

All packages from play.com have been stopped at customs since before Christmas

I know it works that way with some sites but I was referring to the problems before xmas, which were specifically with play.com as detailed on this thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=52375288

    edit:Ciaran got there first
