New Band: Talented and Dedicated Musicians Wanted

Hey,
Im a guitarist from North Dublin. Im 19 and have been playing for a couple of years. Im interested in starting up a new band. Ive played in a few bands with friends in the past but they didnt work out because of different musical abilities and tastes. Im looking for some talented dedicated musicians (Singer, Bassist, Drummer and possibly a keyboardist) who would like to start something new and try make it on the music scene. I listen to lots of different types of music but mainly rock and alternative. I would like the band to have a good sound and stage presence and to write some quality original material. Id be willing to jam somewhere in the city centre and I might possibly have access to college facilities. If youre interested let me know.

Do you have any singing expeience? What kind of stuff do you listen to/like to sing? Do you have any recordings? Where in Dublin are you based?

Ive really too many influences to mention because Ive been playing guitar since the age of 13 and Ive listened to stuff from The Beatles to Metallica. I suppose the sound Im looking for is along the lines of Coldplay, U2, The RHCP's, The Killers, Snow Patrol or Incubus.

Hey Guitardeddudett. In my opinion the most important member of the band is the vocalist. I dont want to come across like Louis Walsh when I say this but Im looking for an extremely talented singer. Someone who's got confidence and charisma and would make a good front person for the band. If you think you have a good voice and youd have what it takes to take the role of vocalist we should arrange a jam. What kind of stuff do you like to sing? And where exactly in Dublin are you from? If youre having second thoughts about being the vocalist maybe you could play bass or drums... what are you most talented at and what type of stuff can you play and like to play the most?

hmmm...like ive played plenty gigs and sang at a few and been told im good but i dunno if im up to the standard youre looking for...i pretty much listen and play anything along the lines of rock/metal/even emo but open to anything else too and i like those influences you mentioned above and im based in castleknock

I dunno if im want your looking for but sure ...... im a singer, Go me!! Right basically i write alot, have edgey vocals. Do u have any demos of wat u'd like to play.? My influences are running from (like urself beatles) pearljam funeral for a friend blink smashing pumpkins etc etc i can give u an in depth detail if ur interested. But im looking for a band willing to explore different lengths and pushing for something great (no half assing). Ive been in bands before that just didnt work out cuz ppl werent decidated!
