    In Advertising, honesty is......
    A) always the best policy.
    B) almost always the best policy
    C) against company policy.
Theres no escaping it, very little interaction with it, and little benefit from advertising. Our lives are lead in both the public and private environment, personally we have a choice to say no to junk mail, not take every leaflet handed to you, but our sight is being invaded for the benefit of shareholders.
what would a city without advertising look like? what would the economy say?
to anyone who has the time, there are applications for planning permission for those rotating light add boxes on streets all over dublin, all in the name of JCDEUX, who we all know as the worlds leading out door advertisers in the world. dont they have enough of our streets? they also have the contract for our luas, and all our stops.
if anyones been to galway and seen whats fueling my hate for advertising. on the dublin road roundabout (i think) its on the corner of the bay view and someone granted permission for a huge billboard blocking the view all to distract some poor drivers on a busy roundabout.
i admire the power of advertising though, lets say (in my dream world) that all advertising of all mediums in the republic was to be in Irish, how much more would we speak and use?
but with the likes of drag queen robots and kitchen spills, what are we doing for ourselves? to our children?
anyone else feel that kids can decide what toy they want, there and then on that special occasion in the toy shop?
toys will still sell, pea's will still sell in the supermarket, club card points will still be collected
visual imagery is a language, and it could greatly improve our society if we could get some points together as a society that properly govern our entitlement to visual privacy
would love your thoughts and kind words
