    Folks,

    Does anyone know of a restorer of old VW Golfs ?

    Mine is a Mark 2, 1989 40 kW, 3 door hatch, close to the end of its life as a car in its own right.

    If anyone knows of someone who might be able to use its components, body, etc please let me know.

    It will be free of charge to a suitable person.

    Hey!! Just heard on the vagdrivers.net forum that you had this car up to be taken away! All I need to know is where are you? and what color, condition is the body in?

    I had a GTi and im in desperate need of a shell to swap all the parts onto as my shell is starting to rust!

    I'm in Limerick.

    I plan to get the new car in Dundalk next Saturday 7 April late afternoon at ~ 4 pm.

    As I am transferring the insurance from the Golf to the new car I have to dispose of the VW Golf at that time.

    Car Details:-

    Present Milage: 159,000
    Last Service: 150,246
    Last NCT: June 2006
    Last Timing Belt: May 2002 @ 110,000 miles.
    Last Tyres: 1 in last few months, other 3 April 2004. Spare April 2004.
    Ignition Leads: Nov 2003.

    Good parts:

    Battery: Varta 43 Ah, Dec 2003. 140,000.
    Shocks: Rear done for NCT 2004. Front NCT June 2006.
    Exhaust Replaced Last: Feb 2004 (mid-section), April 2004 (rear section).

    Anything else, please enquire.

    My mothers old car, 1985 4 door 1.6 petrol. It was last on the road over two years ago but she no longer fit to drive. Engine & body sound, clutch fitted not long before it was left lying. It would suit restoration or parts. Its up for grabs but who ever takes it takes all.
