Buy a 240Z instead. They are the most sought after of their ilk. I almost did last year and regret not having done so now.

I'd prefer the 260, the 240's are way too expensive for me, for good ones. They are much more sought after. So a 260 should be cheaper.

The 260 being cheaper than the 240 is actually a misconception ;) , as the 240 and the 260 are very similar in price (apart from the very early 1st year Fairlady/240Z's).
It's probably the 260 "2+2" you are referring to as being cheaper. As an addition to the 240Z Coupe, Datsun offered a 2+2 version when it introduced the 2.6 litre straight six in the 260Z. It has a longer wheelbase and redesigned roofline/waistline (losing a lot of it's character). This version is a bit cheaper than the 2 seater Coupe's... However, finding a good one is still not easy.

I would know of a couple of 240/260/280's Coupe's and 2+2's floating around on the Continent. Price range anywhere between 5 and 15k...

Are the ones you know of lhd? And is thet euro prices?
I would have around 7-8k to spend on one.
Would have to be pre '77 to avail of the classic tax/vrt/ins etc!!!

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
