Hand from the 75k guaranteed on pacific last night.

Blinds are 75/150. Its just after 1st break and I just got moved tables so no reads.

I am in BB with 2500 (bit below average) and get dealt KdQd. We are 9 handed. Folded to cutoff who raises to 450. Button and SB fold. I call. Villain has about 6k.

    Pot 975.

    Flop is Jd 8d 3c.

I push all in figuring Villain can't call without a big pair, a set or a jack.

I also dont have enough chips behind remaining to make a semi bluff so any bet commits to hand.

Flop seems ok, although I'm not a big fan of cold callnig 1/8 of your stack preflop

i'd say fold pre-flop - you're calling off about a fifth of a below average stack OOP... don't fancy that myself with the button coming my way in a couple of hands

also, not sure how strong a bet that's twice the size of the pot really looks - i disagree that he can only call with an overpair, i'd quite possibly call you with 9-9 or 10-10 here

    overall, i don't like it

Flop push is fine, although depending on the Villain I might have gone for a CRAI or may even have just pushed Pre-Flop.

this is the thing, though - we're new to the table so we've no idea what we're up against... normally, I'd say it's either a push PF or a fold but with no info, I just fold

I think i'd prefer a crai on the flop.

I don't think we are deep enough for a CRAI, unless we know the agressor will only bet 4-500 or so, and even then he will be getting 2.5/1+ on the rest of his money.

Open push the flop is the right way to play it I think on that board.

I pushed anyway as most people suggested. Villain called instantly with 8h7h. It held up

yeah, the instant bit is a bit off. i'd probably call here, but I'd be deep in the timebank!
