    Traffic disruption for Rising commemorations
    Saturday, 7 April 2007 21:02

Motorists are being advised that traffic restrictions will be in operation tomorrow morning in Dublin city centre because of ceremonies at the GPO to mark the anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising.

Thousands of spectators are expected to attend the event, which starts at noon.

Large screens are being provided to help the public watch the ceremony.

President Mc Aleese, Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and Defence Minister Willie O'Dea, will be participating.

The ceremonies will be much smaller than last year's parade, which marked the 90th anniversary of the Easter Rising.
