How well would overclocked C2D fair against opty dual 248s?

Just wondering, a guy at work is fanactical about his dual 248's and linux he wouldn't look at anything else. How would a C2D fair up against the aging 248's? Cant find any benchmarks on the web.

No idea myself, but it it depends on the benchmarks and tests you peform too.

My guess would say quite favourably on a cost\performance basis. /dons flamesuit
