Its for home alarm over the net.

Saw them in PC World in Blanch for €59.99, which is cheap as they normally sell for 110. So got one and the guy who scanned it gave me a confused look, double checked the price then said they had been marked at €22.97.

So got two. :) Still a few left.

    Thats the one.

As for the software. It should come with the camera. According to the box it does. Haven't set it up yet.

Actually checked the boxes again. You need the Starter kit as well. No idea how much that is but PC World don't have them (checked). So back to the shop they went.

Did you open it before returning ?? Mines open and pretty useless without the starter kit.

nope I didn't open them. You could try returning anyway. Explain the shop person didn't tell you that it was totally useless without the kit.

Try getting the kit first, they didn't have any when I was there.

Are the cameras of no use without the starter kit? In which case it might be like printers - cheap to buy but expensive inks.

Yes you need the starter kit to use these cameras. Unfortunetly PCW never sold the starter kit.
